Mercy Education Welcomes New Financial Analyst, Tom Minneci

Mercy Education is pleased to welcome Tom Minneci to the team as Financial Analyst. In this role, Tom will support Mercy Education’s mission by compiling and analyzing financial and budget data, developing financial projections, and providing financial best practices and recommendations to Mercy Education and its member schools.

Tom brings a wealth of experience to this position, having spent the majority of his career in the insurance industry in roles spanning accounting, financial planning and analysis, and vendor management. His career began at Allstate Corporation, where he held several managerial positions over the course of 24 years. Tom then joined Erie Insurance, leading their financial planning processes and overseeing significant projects. Later, he transitioned to Churchill Downs Racetrack as Vice President of Finance. Most recently, he served at Kentucky Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, overseeing accounting and financial reporting.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University and an M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Originally from the Chicago area, he is a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks fan. He now resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife, Liesl. They are proud parents to three adult children—Nina, Anthony, and Jessica.

In addition to his professional achievements, Tom is dedicated to his community and serves on the finance committee at his parish, St. Gabriel the Archangel. Mercy Education is thrilled to have Tom join the team and looks forward to the expertise and leadership he will bring to this important role.
