First Look at the 2024 Mercy Education Conference
We live in a culture of violence – war, guns, hate speech, violence against women, political divisions, unrest, fear of the other. As Mercy schools, we are called to embrace nonviolence, not only as a moral imperative but also as a pragmatic pathway towards sustainable peace and meaningful change.
The 2024 Mercy Education Conference will challenge us to strengthen our personal practice of nonviolence and to foster nonviolent solutions in our schools and classrooms. We will embrace nonviolence as the keystone of our work: to respond to the needs of our time, animated by the Gospel and in the spirit of Catherine McAuley.
