The purpose of the mission accountability process is twofold.

  1. First, the process encourages schools to recognize and celebrate the ways in which they fosters excellence in Mercy Catholic education. In so doing, they are also assuring MESA and their school communities that they are rooted in the Gospel through the Mercy charism and Catholic faith and that they are a place where all students have the opportunity to learn, achieve and feel empowered to take their rightful place as a merciful presence in Church and society.
  2. Second, the process gives school the opportunity to reflect on the future of mission and create a plan that addresses any current challenges and considers the changing needs of our time.
